Read this before you use any casino listed here
The casinos on this site are licensed offshore. They are not registered with iGaming Ontario and are not licensed by any Canadian province. That matters in practical ways:
- Provincial self-exclusion will not block them. Programmes run by your provincial lottery or by iGaming Ontario do not reach these sites. If you have self-excluded, please do not use this site, and if you are struggling, call one of the lines above.
- There is no Canadian regulator to complain to. If a withdrawal is withheld, you are relying on the operator's own complaints process and its offshore licence.
- Crypto makes losses easier to lose track of. A balance in BTC changes value every day, and it is easy to stop thinking in dollars. Decide your budget in dollars before you buy any crypto.
- Limit tools vary. Deposit limits, cooling-off and self-exclusion are offered by most of these casinos, but they are not required to meet any Canadian standard.
Practical limits that work
- Set a deposit limit before your first deposit, not after a loss.
- Buy only the crypto you are prepared to lose, and keep it separate from any crypto you hold as savings.
- Never chase. Raising stakes to win back a loss is the most reliable route to a bigger one.
- Do not gamble to fix money problems, and never with borrowed money.
- Take breaks. A cooling-off period of a day or a week costs nothing.
Signs it has stopped being entertainment
Playing for longer, or with more, than you meant to. Hiding it from people close to you. Borrowing to play, or playing to win back what you lost. Feeling anxious or irritable when you cannot play.
All of these are common, and none of them means anything is wrong with you. The help lines above are free and you do not need to have decided anything before you call.
Age limits
The legal gambling age in Canada is 19 in most provinces and territories, and 18 in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec. Every operator listed requires identity verification, and accounts opened with false details are closed and winnings forfeited. If you share a device with young people, parental controls built into your operating system or router can block gambling sites.
